If the police is understaffed, it is their duty to put it up to the govt. with proper documentation and convince them to provide more staff. They can bring out study that correlates the lack of staff with that of number of accidents, traffic jams and such other things, to prove their point forcibly and get adequate personnel. All these of course, if they are seriously interested in doing their job more efficiently.

Both traffic and law enforcement wings seem to be quite understaffed for the situations that they are supposed to handle. Notorious elements have a free run with blocking roads as needed for religious functions, using loudspeakers, haphazard parking and police just does not seem to have resources to act. Complaints to them go unanswered. It is better that they first create a proper response mechanism for citizens.

no control on traffic. very bad planning of traffic. govt. vehicles do not care for any traffic rules. zero knowledge on lane disciplines. negative attitudes by all including the traffic police and drivers, rich and poor, men or women. arrogance, disrespect, disobedience is the order of the day.
Daily a case of chain snatching is taking place in some corner of the city. How can we say the law and order is under control? In similar manner the traffic team is not capable to handle the violators though there is a much higher penalty for violation. The situation is not becoming worse only because of a few Genuine police personnel.
