No action taken to amend the Commodities Packaging Act & Rules which allows printing of Dual MRP to fleece consumers.

It is good to see a Government agency working with us. Happy to see engagement from this department.

The distribution of food through centre is poor. The middle man, stockists and godown managers are involved in huge corruption. The wheat was not distributed in some states even it was useless. Godown managers argue that many quintols of wheat were eaten away by rats. Whether rats with two feet of four feet? Last year lot of wheat were imported from Poland, Australia and other foreign countries. It was a setback for the farmers of India.

The consumer court in Hyderabad for Telangana is a case of concern. The court is found to give inconsistent judgments for issues of similar nature, delay the proceedings in favor of a well known defaulter and is very ineffective in implementing its own judgments. A radical improvement in the situation is urgently warranted. The example is a bunch of consumer cases against Aliens Developers from Hyderabad, wherein 300+ cases are at various stages.
