Car Ins. - Extrtemely Poor Service by Bharti-Axa

Insurance of my car was due on 02-12-2017. I did't receive any reminder from Bharti-Axa General Insurance Company Limited. Somehow I missed the due date. Suddenly on 04-12-2017 I remembered that insurance of my car was due. I immediately contacted helpline number and they gave me number of Pitampura, Delhi branch to talk. I tried the number upteen times and finally on 04-12-2017, Mr. Ram came on line and he told me that he was busy in a meeting and he would call me back in 20 Mintues. Till today he has not called back nor he remains in his seat to help. The Telephone Operator Mr. Kundan always says that he would convey to Mr. Ram but nothing happens. I tried to talk to the Branch Manager, Mr. Gulshan but he does not come on line being busy in meetings. Having no alternative, I requested Hyundai Show Room through whom I had purchased the car four years back to help. They arranged inspection of the car through Bharti-Axa. The car is self driven - original buyer (37000 Kms.) and is absolutely in fine condition. However, the visiting person declared the car NOT RECOMMENDED for the reason that there are scraches on the body, which is common thing in Delhi. So the Company refused to renew the insurance. THIS IS THE STATUS OF A PRIVATE INSURANCE COMPANY IN OUR COUNTRY AND WE TALK OF "EASE OF DOING BUSINESS". MORE AGITATING THING IS THAT OFFICIALS OF THE COMPANY ARE NOT CONTACTABLE. WHAT TO DO? more  

I have a bad experience with Bajaj Allianz. After completing all the formalities and examining original documents etc. they insured the car and sent the policy on my e-mail. While waiting for the hard copy I went through the policy document and was surprised and shocked to find that in the policy they SX4 car fuel was mentioned as Diesel and its version as VDi instead of Petrol and VXi. On bringing the matter to their notice I have been asked to pay extra about Rs.5,000/- which I am not willing to pay. I request Mr S K Virmani's opinion on this matter. more  
Any assistance you require please let me know. For my academic purpose also I would like to have documents if you can share with me. more  
Sir, in case the company has charged extra for the wrong feeding of data in the policy document, the same can be demanded to be refunded. You will have to prove that there was an error on the part of the insurer. Pls compare with the document you submitted and act accordingly. Even the complaint would be fit to be taken up before the consumer forum. more  
Basically, Insurance is a subject matter of solicitation and therefore company failure in reminding you for renewal may not be a complaint. Rather it is courteous if the company send a reminder. Now the vehicle has to undergo for an inspection before the policy is renewed and the company would be charging an inspection fee. Please complete all the formalities immediately as otherwise the company wont be liable for any mis-happening to the vehicle or the insured. The car has to be insured with the exclusions for defects noticed at the time of inspection. more  
I definitely missed the due date. But as a courtsey even, NO REMINDER from the Insuranch Company. More so after the due date, so unhelpful attitude by the Bharti-AXA officials. No responsibility and accountability on the part of Insuranch Company ! Of course, I am gettting the insurance done from other Company. But such extremely poor service by a private insurance company, one should just keep quite ! Really very sad state of affairs. Should not through the Local Circle mechanisim, matter should reach the Regulator? more  
I had the same experience with Bharati Axa so I changed the insurance company to ICICI, they are quite good. more  
I would recommend to go with the other insurance company because this is the major problem now a days and these people don't bother about it. Also, I haven't seen any escalation matrix for such companies so that we can escalate such kind of issues. more  
Yes, that I am doing by going to other Insuranche Company, but should we leave this inconvenience / unhelpful attitude towards customers by Bharti-Axa Officials as it is? more
