Crowed

Railways can plan but not always, when festivals are there.
We plan to go, irrespective of capacity of trains as to reach any how.
We blame govt, but never think to go on tomorrow inspite of today.
Such situation was in kumbh.
Lacs or crores will leave their homes to take dip in Ganga, no one could guess except it that huge crowed may be due to festival that day.
But in routine IR is neglecting old trains.Yuva Express coaches from Bandra ,in bad condition.having vibrations and dirty toilets. more

As I had mentioned in my post on neglect of Ordinary Mail & Express Trains which have been running for decades, the present incumbent Government's focus in to compete with France, Europe & China in putting up fastest mode of commutation. So Bullet Trains, Tejas (despite many flaws) & Vande Bharat are given priorities over the existing running trains whose capacity is at bursting point. Imagine a Train from Kerala with just 3 General Coaches traversing through 5- 6 states ( Kerala, A.P., Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra, M.P., Rajasthan & Delhi) carrying the multitude which includes the MST daily users as also general public. No upgradation of infrastructure, no checks or maintenance....disaster is waiting to happen. Ashram Express as also the Sampark Kranti Express...their shockers are almost gone due to excess capacity crowd pulling....while halting as also when the train starts to pick up speed, you can feel the bump which passes through the Reservation as also General Coach (Only AC coaches don't feel it as their shockers are maintained). Even during the recent New Delhi Station unfortunate incident, Railway Ministry was just trying to wash it off as nothing major till the time the PMO office comment came first and then as if they got the signal, the Railway Ministry moved with apology and the usual sound bytes. more
Need to explore better system & infrastructure for this more
Railways should have a system for travellers during night time. Most trains are noisy till 12 - 1 am, which needs to be curbed. People talk, laugh, scream loudly disturbing the other passengers. There are senior citizens and people who need sound night sleep. Especially, the AC coaches should be silent after 10 pm. They can devise a system, like switching off the lights, noise alarm to be installed and penalty to be levied incase of any deviation. Need a robust system in long distance trains. more
Roll of TTE should be defined again.he checks reserved berths only and goes back as if his or her duty is over.people pass time by 10 or 11pm,sitting on lower berth then any how middle berth owner dare to open seat.he or she too sleep by 9 or10am.
All this happens. more
It may be tempting to expect the IR run additional trains commensurate with the passenger traffic generated on the holy occasion of Prayagraj Maha Kumbh. But has itbeen examined if the currently railways rakes and tracks are in a position to accept this exponentially grown demand? more
Passengers also have yo ensure that they don't dirty the toilets and litter compartments in trains. Passengers use toilets like they do in fields, which wets the toilets, completely and make them dirty. Will they do this in their house???? more
