Probably the cleanliness, food quality, service and passrnger behavior is better in the Trains in South India than in other parts of the country. more
While the Railways has to improve its working, the passengers also need to be better educated about cleanlliness and appropriate use of public space. Many of the so called educated people travelling even in AC coaches have habits which are disgusting. Not only misuse and abuse toilets, littering the whole comppartment but also talking loudly or listening to music etc loudly even after 9 pm. When I was young I had a subject called 'Suhadaram' - சுகாதாரம் - which used to teach us about keeping ourselves and the environment clean. Alas, all these have disappeared giving place to a kind of rat-race education based on competition etc. There is a serious need to revive this subject teaching elements of civics to our population. more
Comparing to previous years; Current Services Improvement; that's my Comment. more
Rly. Is doing their work at the par. But the peoples even traveling in AC Class 1st & 2 nd , 3 rd are most dirtiest peoples. Most of them are sleeping whole day. they will eat , drink & will keep garbage under the seat. the On duty Coach attendant will clean it after 3-4 hrs. They cant walk 10-12 feet up to dust bin. it is educated peoples attitude. Not to blame Govt. rly. all the time. more
If the railways keep someone to clean the toilets/supervise the general cleaning ,find out the persons who are making it dirty, putting a fine it will be good for all more
