PNB charges regularly anual charge while ATM DATE IS EXPIRED FROM 4YEARS

my father account is in Punjab NATIONAL BANK, our ATM card is expired on 2015 and never reissued by bank. when i check my passbok then found bank is charging Rupee 117 annual charge for every year. means we are paying for 4x117=468.
none of bank staff is listing our issue , pls help us more

I would request the LocalCircles Manager to please take up the issue of Bank Charges for services like the one mentioned here with the Regulator, RBI, for reducing the number of service charges by Banks. The Finance Ministry while preparing the Annual Budget Proposals, must also provide elaborately what all social sector services are charted to the Taxes/Revenue received by it. Should not the ATM service charge be not be met out of the taxes collected by the financial sector? more

Once an ATM card is issued, Every year charges will be deducted. On returning of physical card and written request, they stop charging it. I faced same case with SBI and Corporation bank. They charge 1 year fees extra from me. more

The choice is with the complainant, between consumer court or banking ombudsman. more

Fit case for taking up with Banking Ombudsman of your Zone/Circle. more

My experience with Ombudsman is very poor. It does not give justice and act in favour of bank. If one can afford time, it is better to go to consumer court to settle dispute with bank. more

We must check our account / passbook every month and approach bank for discrepancies, if any. more

Collect all your documentary evidences of your talks with bank in chronological order. Send the summary to top management of PNB. If no reply comes in a week or 10 days, then approach Ombudsman..... more
