Stray Dogs Menace:

A tragic incident occurred near Wadala Chowk in Jalandhar, where an elderly woman was attacked by 7-8 stray dogs while on her way to a Gurdwara early in the morning. The entire incident was recorded on CCTV footage. The woman was severely injured, hospitalized, and is currently in a coma.

Everyone who feeds stray dogs, just remember the day when you are away for another commitment and your parents/grandparents have to face their because they are hungry. Its not pretty. Watch the video. You all think u are doing service, its disservice. more

Since most animal lovers and the courts which rule in their favor are stupid and irresponsible, this cannot change. more
This is a major problem in most Indian cities. We need to have local governments to act as soon as possible to fix this issue. It is a public health issue. Local governments need to start a campaign to catch and detain the animals. If not adopted need to euthanize. I know it sounds cruel but this issue is as dangerous. People need to stop feeding the stray dogs. If animal rights people go crazy at this, they need to pay to house, feed and neuter the animal at their expense. more
Off late dog menace has increased. Every day you will hear news of Dog menace. Panchayat/Local bodies/Municipalities must check this menace. more
It is very frightening ! Walking on streets, particularly on the lonely streets in the morning has become very risky and dangerous because of the large population of stray dogs, which goes on increasing regularly. Only a couple of months back there had been a news that a person severely beaten by stray dogs had died within hours of the attack. Our city roads are virtually overtaken by stray dogs and cattle making walking and driving risky but the concerned authorities in the government and civic bodies unconcerned and unmoved. more
Horrible. Civic Bodies n panchayat should immediate action to cull stray dogs enmasse But conflicting judgements by High Courts n Supreme Court are spoiling sport. Every body should prefer human beings over animal's. more
