Uber is overcharging the consumers after the ride
It's happening a lot these days with me that uber shows different amount before the ride gets started and as the ride gets completed, it overcharges the consumer. That is like misguiding the consumer by showing and charging different amount. The charges need to be stay fixed before and after the ride and if they vary during the ride, user must get notified about the same. In a bike ride they have charged me with over 15-20 rs. while on a car ride they have charged over 30-40 rs. , it is very unfair on consumer's end. more

@Ram Singh....and that's the wrong precedence they are setting that if a consumer is not asking for refund they keep charging and charging...what if today i didn't complain about it - they keep looting us as per their will....people need to stand together against such incidents..as everybody is facing these issues and instead of everyone asking of refund individually...why not eradicate this issue? more

Please appreciate them if they listen to your consistent complaint and follow up. We have been accepting our government agencies and organisations since independence and they hardly listen to the citizens at all. more

When one is charged extra despite riding as per GPS, he should complain to Uber. I was recently charged Rs. 300 extra but when I persisted, they refunded it. Likewise, if the driver compels you to cancel the ride, you can get the cancellation fee refunded. more

This issue happens more often in Uber share , a rider join a ride while you are on the way which may has a slightly different route. That incremental distance(better we say fare) get added in our distance & we don't have option apart from paying it off. There is only virtual assistance so you can not make them understand. You report your issue 1 out 10 cases will be settled in your favor. Most of the time we believe in their technologies & ignore it but I stopped taking their services when it was happening frequently. more

in Mumbai ,Nagpur ,Jaipur or even in Delhi whenever I use Uber, I pay the same figure what was quoted before confirmation and that is not for share but UberGo ride. Extra charge comes when you ask the driver to change the route as per your choice and not as his GPS is showing.
In other cases, if you ae charged extra than what was flashed before confirmation, you can always complain Customer support and in 99 percent cases they refund in your account. Even a few times the Cancellation fee was also waived if justified reason is given. more
