Which phone is good to buy?
Hi Friends, I wants to buy a new phone in low range max is 5500. Requirement is excellent sound quality and battery life. Can you please advice me nice phones in this range? more

I understand Mrs Smita and thats why I said my budget is 5500 not more...I dont feel good using any phone more then 1 year. Because all phone start giving any problem after that. So I buy new and cheap phones only for a year. more

Dear friend I do not know what kind of use you want to put the phone to- but there are many considerations. Technology is not doing what it promises to do- because everyone shows you how easy it is to do certain things on the gadgets. But the product does not carry any guidelines for use. There is little service support- even for Samsung tab that I had. The weak points are so weak that rarely does a phone last an year if you really use it hard. So, be prepared to pay pay pay. My experience with XOLO which I bought in august has been strange. At the shop the salesman said that the economic phone would drive me up the wall because it will take forever to do whatever I needed - which was essentially data driven stuff like whats app and social media. Xolo was chinese and I asked if that would be a good idea because my expectations are high. I was told that for 12500.00 I would have the experience of a 20000.00 worth of phone. Within two months I travelled from Bhopal where I purchased the phone to Ghaziabad. The phone would get suddenly discharged. On the charger it would suddenly charge and by the time it came on it would be discharged - even with the charger on. So I could not even get the data out. Now I was new to android and to whats app and I got all kinds of confusing advice- contacts cannot be imported from an excel file. I had not checked if the data on whats app would cost extra if I was on roaming- which I was. I knew about the charge for incoming calls and had a scheme but not for data- vodaphone does not send me the detailed bill any more. You need to be very clever to understand and appreciate issues of 3G/2G, charges for various usage, and requirements for getting warranty issues. Mostly I am getting really tired of spending money on more and more stuff- so I would say don't buy unless you have money to throw away. :D Please don't mind my saying this, I am an engineer- but old- 55. And moving from one instrument to the other is always painful. Then by the time I get used to the look and feel it is broken and not repairable. No one in the shop has time to help with tech support. more

If you want a longer battery life then choose a phone which has no or least apps in it. Generally Smartphones have lesser battery life. more
