Indian Railways Catering

Catering in railways deteriorated during the term Of Lalu Prasad Yadav. Only nominal improvement since then.

Train No. 02511 from Pune to Kamakshya SF special travels 2856 KM and takes about 53 hours, but unfortunately there is no Pantry Car available in the train. If Pantry Car is not available, please visualise the fate of such persons travelling such a long distance.
It is therefore suggested that all SF trains (except overnight trains within 500 KM) pantry car should be provided.

While appreciating the difficulties of serving food in trains. I feel there is plenty of room for improvement in quality and service .Hygiene and quality of raw material ,and quality of training of serving staff can add to improvement

It is generally bad, in Quality, Taste, Presentation, Handling, may be even god knows what type of raw material is used, who controls it, even a Thela Wala gives a better and tasty food at much cheaper rate.
