IRCTC ONLINE BOOKING WEBSITE Website : www.irctc.co.inReally don't understand why the Railway authorities are not looking into the issue of the website not been opened most of the times when we try to log in for making a booking. it keeps on circling when we login and doesn't show the security code for log in. New website is not at all working properly. Kindly request the railway authorities to look into the same at the earliest. Due to the non availability of the website, we have to depend on agents. Railway says do not issue any ticket from agents. Need immediate action on this. If you click on the IRCTC website now www.irctc.co.inyou can see the website is not working . Cannot log in . After clicking log in it keeps on revolving and we are not able to enter the id and password. This helps Agents more so that people like us when cannot use the IRCTC website need to depend on Agents by paying extra money. I humbly request the LOCAL CIRCLE to highlight this issue to the RAILWAY MINISTER or the higher authorities. more

Most troublesome aspects are: 1) Printing of hard copy of e-tickets are not possible. Although print button is provided - the same is numb. Quite sometimes SMS is also not received. 2) SMS messages. if even received, has its inherent dangers: A) accidental/unintended erasion, B) Handset lost/damaged. 3) Many elderly passengers, even on date, cannot use a mobile phone beyond receiving or sending voice calls. KINDLY PROVIDE THE OPTION OF PRINTING HARD COPY of e-ticket. It would be the option of the passenger, whether to print a hard copy or not. It would be still better, as was available in the earlier version, either to print a hard copy or a 'pdf' print version. 4) Kindly provide option to switch off all advertisements. Distractions caused by such disturbing aspects often leads to costly error for the ticket booking passenger. more

Dear sirs & fellow members , what does this picture have to do with the objective of IRCTC to serve the customers / ticket booking travelers ? Many members have mentioned about the distraction by these huge piece of Advertisements particularly when the customer's mind is flooded with all the other problems mentioned in this very post whether -I will be able to get my berth seat of choice after paying -I will be able to get my berth when availability showed 80 - will only money be debited and ticket not issued so on and so forth as we had read the 200 and odd comments . IRCTC will you kindly TAKE THE TROUBLE TO KNOW AND LEARN THE OBJECTIVE OF THIS e- ticketing system INTRODUCED BY THE HONOURABLE RAIL MINISTER AND PRIME MINISTER. Kindly don't abandon these response for the post . All are gems to be taken into consideration . WE ARE YOUR CUSTOMERS . WE NEED TO BE TREATED LIKE CUSTOMERS . more  
There are too many adds. A person booking tickets is not interested in adds for which there are other avenues available. more
