Dear Sirs, I do share your view, But I have been with Railways as a supplier for past 15 years, there is a deeper and complex problems, not easy to discuss in this forum, but what I can express is that to provide better service , there are visible steps now, refer to Shri Bibek Debroy Committee , they have started the process, to really see a marked Tangible change I sincerely believe that it will take two to three years in all areas of Rail Infrastructure to improve. We need to support the GOI, as there is lot as past mess littered all over in Railways. more

off course some things can be done such a less time like keep way all these kind of people like beggars, snatchers, mentally disturbed people, unauthorized benders, totally handicapped people of that city from the railway station. more
is it possible to improve travel facility with in 5 months? Keep in mind that Indian Railway is the biggest railway in all over the world due to its passengers, rail networks, trains etc and it is not possible for anybody to improve and manage all these things with in this less time. more
In 5 months, Modi Govt. has failed to provide better / easy travel facility to public - witness death of a person in Delhi station while somehow trying to board an over-crowded train to Patna. Govt. is more interested in fleecing people by hook or crook like higher cancellation or such method like special tatkal. more
Hahaha .... do you think small children will with hold thier pee and will there be enough time to use station toilets . A strict tte is enough to check out whos entering the compartment . to implement these barcode sirens in our indian railways it will take 1000 yrs more
Hello All, I am a frequent traveler within India and outside too. I use to travel always in Indian Railway, rather than private buses for short and long trips. There are plenty of issues in Indian Railways and I am ready to share all key points to improve. But Indian Railway will be ready to implement or listen citizen grievances? I shared my thoughts many, but so far no improvement. Anyway, let me give you few points to improve and Railway can get more money without increasing ticket prices. 1. If TTE & ticket checker perform their role properly and efficiently (without taking bribe), all passenger can travel and reach their destination safely. ie., Only reserved and confirmed ticket passengers (not a W/L ticket holders) and open ticket passengers should allow to travel on their respective compartment. If TTE & ticket checker found other than above mentioned passengers in the compartment, should collect heavy fine (minimum Rs. 1000/-) and ask that passenger to leave from train in next station. 2. Railway should allow boarding only reserved and confirmed ticket passengers after validating barcode in their compartments. Otherwise, should blow siren and handover that passenger to RPF / TTE / ticket checker / next station station master and collect heavy fine. 3. All train should be installed BIO toilet system. When train halts in any station, toilet gates should be locked automatically and unlocked when train left from station. 4. If any passenger try to break toilet gates, siren should be blown and handover that passenger to RPF / TTE / ticket checker / next station station master and collect heavy fine. 5. All train should have CCTV and analyze the system and to take necessary actions and improvements. more
