I would like to bring a burning issue about Swatch Bharat(clean India). Now a days few cities are experiencing artificial snow in these season and reason given is pollution in water sources. What I have observed in Goa recently with the start of monsoon season is foam like structure along side roads, which on close observation revealed gel foam from diapers thrown along side of road. On further enquiry it has been found that garbage collection units are not collecting diapers and sanitary pads as disposal of it is not possible, so citizens are left with no choice but to throw it here and there. Now comes the action
I would like to get opinion from experts in
1)manufacturing the diapers and pads
2)disposing such material
3) Garbage collection
4)Regulating authorities in licensing such products
5)Citizens having any solution in the matter.
I personally feel that diapers with gel should be banned and pads with extra layers of gel should be sold on medical grounds.
Hope this issue gets circulated across the country to get solution otherwise we won't see clean India but India with artificial snow. more

See now a days diapers, toilet napkins, gels are part of our day to dsy life. There should not be banned but the awareness is required to dispose them carefully. I disagree with you sir ,with due respect. Why we are encouraging a technology which will be responsible for devastating effects in future. Secondly no one is collecting diapers, paper napkins are ok as it is biodegradable. Issue is such material should be investigated and ways and means of disposing it should be formulated before allowing it to be marketed. more

The foaming is supposed to be due to an errant airforce officer dumping some dope related chemicals in the Bellandur lake (in case of the lake frothing in Bangalore). He failed in making the dope. Police have arrested this man. more
