The Reservation agitation by Hardik Patel is having some other agenda propped up by certain political parties to ensure that the present Union Government does not succeed in its vision of Developement of India under present Government .
As per Hardik Patel there are 25Crores of Patels , for whom he asks for Reservation beyond the 50% ceiling imposed by Supreme Court. That means he wants to snatch way around 25% of seats from the General quota.
First thing Patels of Gujrat are among the wealthiest Farmers and Business class and such people do not deserve special support from the Government.
There is a positive side of this agitation that it points out to the countrymen and the Government to scrap the concept of Reservation completely. The founding fathers of Indian Constitution had provided reservation of 22.5% only for 10 years and then gradually reduce it. But actually Political masters misused for their vote bank policies and went on increasing upto 49.5%.
So now since it can't be increased beyond 50% it is the most opportune time to reduce from 49.5% to gradually upto 10% or completely scrap it in the present form and launch Merit cum Means Scholarships to all categories irrespective of cast and creed and including all religions. more

It is true that first thing there has to be a law that there is no discrimination of caste. The caste system to be abolished , the 21st century does not have room for such unreasonable biased concept. It is the tool of the corrupt political parties and the goons to take advantage under the camouflage of such system making fools of the innocent poor people instead of providing them with the basic education , the minimum needs of food , water & shelter along with employment. The system of reservation by law has to be stopped anyone trying to deviate under such meaning should be dealt as per law. Bandh , strike affecting common interest of public or intervening social life and business should be treated as unlawful. Media should cotribute towards more constructive broadcast which will help to reduce unrest , uncertainity bringing in positive induction not being politicised. Adoption of Bills, resolution, laws , rules shall be done more with public voting & opinion. Else the oposition parties will always play their dirty politics . It is really shameful that an elected Givernment with majority mandate under an Able Prime Minister is unable to perform only due to some handful of unscrupulous leadrers who has done more harm to the country rather than serving and people are not realising that , sometimes the wrong messages are sent through media & newspapers. Of course the Government has to work to reach the needy people see that efforts are on to uplift them so that these people do not feel neglected and gradually they develop trust and confidence on the Government. What is more needed that there has to be some radical change in the attitude of Indians to be more honest , have self esteem , hardwork and accountability . Being out of India for so many years it really hurts when you see , hear that we are still struggling with such social stigma for that we ourselves are responsible . Reservation on basis of caste to be abolished and reservation on the basis of income to be introduced. Every individual should have a PAN card. Even non taxable income group should file nil return. Income tax return should be filed along with asset and liability statement also. This should be the criterion of income and total assets held by him. Nowadays non taxable income group of citizens can get an income certificate from village officer by bribing. This system should stop. Reservation should be on the basis of the Income Tax Return and Asset and Liability Statement filed by him. more
