Most of the Doctors have nowadays to be M.D.s to do medical practice or M.S. Degree-holders to perform Surgery, but to become M.D.s/M.S. Degree holders they have to spend over Rs.1 crore which, obviously, they hope and plan to recover from their medical practice, making medical treatment too expensive and unaffordable for very many people. As a matter of fact most ailments are such that the treatment can be prescribed by Pharmacists and holders of Diploma called RMP (Registered Medical Practitioners). The cost incurred to get this Diploma is very small compared to even MBBS and even MD or MS and hence the charges they recover from patients will be much less. The Government has to come out with notifications that except for complex, uncommon and advanced ailments treatment is not required from those holding the Degree of MBBS or MD or MS. more

Why only for doctors weddings? Any wedding that requires more than 100 guests should be notified to the police/local government. Track the money that is spent on these functions and it will be found that mostly cash payments are made to decorators and caterers. more
THESE DEGREES ARE STATUS SYMBOLS TO ATTRACT DOWRY IN CRORES INCLUDING BRAND NEW VEHICLES AND OTHER ASSETS,FOLLOWED BY MEGA WEDDING EVENTS,PARTIES WITH POMP AND SHOW.THERE SHOULD BE SOCIAL BOYCOTT TO SUCH EVENTS AND THERE SHOULD BE STANDING INSTRUCTIONS TO IT TO RAID SUCH EVENTS. more
In my childhood days there used to be family doctors/general practitioners who were just M.B., B.S. They had the case history of each and every patient at their finger tips. There were hardly any families without a family doctor. Only if this family doctor referred did anyone approach an M.D or M.S. which was rather rare. But now things have changed for every ailment we ourselves decide which specialist to visit. If we visit the wrong specialist, still he won't reveal but continue treating. Moreover we are not happy with a treatment given a mere M.B., B.S. doctor. So as it is taking an M.D. or M.S. became a must. In former days only a student who is really bright in studies a doctor. Now things changed. A bright student only if he is rich can become a doctor. A block head if rich can become a doctor. As such this profession lost its ethics. more
THESE MDs AND MSs GET SELECTION AND DEGREE ON THE STRENGTH OF MONEY AND NOT ON THEIR CAPABILITY OR INTELLIGENCE.WHAT IS WRONG EVEN IF THEY STEAL ORGANS ON THE OPERATION TABLE TO MAKE GOOD THE CRORES THEY SPENT.WHERE IS THE ETHICS A DOCTOR IS SUPPOSED TO FOLLOW?THE MERIT SEATS IN MANY CASES ARE SOLD BY THE MANAGEMENT AT EXORBITANT RATES UNDER LAME EXCUSES VERY YEAR.GOVT SHOULD NOT CLOSE ITS EYES AND ALLOW THIS TO HAPPEN WHERE BLACK MONEY PLAYS A GREAT ROLE. more
You are correct sir. Medical education has become such that it became a must to earn heavy volume of money and the basic qualities of Doctorship set to lost. more
