30-40% of us still support China

6 in 10 Indians say they have reduced their purchases of chinese products but raw materials and components for Indian goods are still coming from China.

Then there are some of us like nearly 30% people who use chinese apps….i think largely because they make stupid gif, videos/photos or provide free scanner. They have non chinese alternatives now, we just need to try.. more

China is a major producer of RAW material for Industries & we cant loose its source. There is nothing wrong in business , except compromise in Principles & Land Grabbing , Political interference etc. more
There are two major issues: 1- Many chinese are imported by ruthless importers who then put 'Made in India' sticker and sell it. Since the ordinary customer wants commodities at competitive prices, this pratice is followed by many. 2- There are several companies which import the critical components from China and either package them or make less important components and market them as Made in India. A large number of electrical and electronic items come under this category. Can the LC suggest ways to minimise these please? more
I do not knowingly use any Chinese apps. Though I must admit that I have LENOVO laptop an a HUAWEI mobile. Both these purchased about 4-5 years ago. more
Huawei is monitored by Chinese communist party. You are one of those Indias who is helping China our enemy. more
Why is our government so clueless that they base their whole policy on things that need imports from China; like Lithium cells for EV's knowing fully well that we have no other sources for lithium? Why not focus on alternative types of batteries? This is what happens when policies are framed by IAS babus who have no exposure or interest in technology more
Why are we as citizens of India are buying Chinese? Why are we using Chinese electronic products? TikTok is not banned by many states on state given devices to the government workers. We need to do the same. more
Please tell me how to avoid Chinese products when most of the time you have no products made in India. Even if it is made, it will be a Chinese brand like most mobile phones and PCs are. Even non-Chinese brands like Samsung and HP only sell products made in China. What I really object to is the government allowing so-called manufacture in India by Chinese companies, typically Automobiles like Morris Garage (MG) and BYD. Can we conclude that anyone driving these cars are traitors to India? If so, why did the government allow them to set shop here? more
Not all products are made in Chine and we need to make sure to look for them before the purchase. Also many companies are trying to bring manufacturing to India. We need to make sure that is what we buy. Also stop pushing for electric cars, that are benefiting China and in reality are not environmentally better. more
