Aadhaar-Mobile linkage steps and issue
Friends the Govt has got to be kidding us. 1) they want us to link aadhaar to mobile despite privacy ruling by supreme court 2) they want us to go into a aadhaar center or a mobile shop and stand in line again. Come on guys first your force it second you cant figure out an online way of doing it???? By the way here are the Govt announced steps to link SIM card to Aadhaar card for the first timers:
Step 1: Visit your nearest Aadhaar centre to get Aadhaar Update/ Correction Form or download it from the UIDAI website.
Step 2: Fill the required details correctly and submit the form to the concerned person at the centre and mention on the form that only the mobile number has to be updated.
Step3: During submission a photocopy of the Aadhaar card, Identity proof such a PAN card, Voter ID or Passport. Following the submission, biometrics will be verified at the enrollment centre.
Step 4: After verifying the biometrics, you will be given an acknowledgement slip. Usually, it takes 2-5 working days for the updation to happen but as per the UIDAI helpline, the turnaround time for the updation is 10 days.
How to update the mobile number:
Users can update a different mobile number online, but the customers’ existing number should be linked to the Aadhaar prior to this step. This is because the OTP to authenticate the updation would be sent to the users existing number.

Step 2: Click on the option Aadhaar Update which will redirect the users to Aadhaar Self-Service portal.
Step 3: Enter your Aadhaar number, and the Captcha text and request for OTP. The OPT will be sent to your existing mobile number.
Step 4: Enter the OTP and then the users will be redirected to the page where customers can update the desired details.
Step 5: Under ‘Select field(s) to update’, select ‘Mobile Number’ Now enter your new mobile number that you want to record in the database and submit. more

Now this is best example where left hand does not know what right hand is doing. On one hand we say Indians r very good in computing. So just to awake these govt babus When Pan is linked with Aadhar And for every return or Pan Govt asks mobile number Simply copy that aadhar number from pan card dats to those mobiles. And send a message to mobile holder that x aadhar number is linked .. if u havd changed mobile do contact pan site.. As also a request to inform other mobile numbers being used No need to visit any centre Only copy and paste more

It is ridiculous to demand linkage of Aadhar to anything and every thing. I have one Postpaid mobile and a Prepaid Mobile (with Jodi Card). Is it necessary for me to link all the three to my Aadhar. The Government is trying to flout the orders of the Supreme Court. It is time for Supreme Court to step in protect the privacy of ordinary law-abiding citizens. more
