Abolition of Rajya Sabha

There should be a serious discussion on the relevance of Rajya Sabha which has proved to be a stumbling bloc to carry forward the Government's development agenda. The Rajya Sabha members to not make any contribution to the democratic functions of the circar. Its continuance is a huge waste of public funds. Inputs may be generated and a white paper submitted to the Circar for necessary action. Modi circar will be pleased to act immediately. more

I agree with Ram. I have myself questioned its importance sometimes back in these pages. Rajya Sabha is only a white elephant for the government of India. The sooner it is dismantled the better. more
I had already written the same in my post last week. In Tamilnadu the council was removed by MG Ramachandran Same way we can remove RS. Back door entry to Parliament to be stopped. Parliament is only for the members elected by the people. more
Infact i believe India needs a patriotic dictator at the moment...."No nonsense" attitude will make things better more
This is a second time issue . The seconding support or , the disapproval paves the safe path in Democracy since the political power crowns such absolute and at times even anti direction as we had seen Some Constitutional Articles diverted from their objective & concept of introduction ,; and some set aside till these days . The Rajya Sabha election also shall be made 5 yearly or 3 yearly , to be conducted in the recess time of Lok Sabha / Parliament . more
I fully agree with Ramji, Rajya Sabha should be abolished. more
