Acid Related Crimes - Eliminate acid availability from cities

Acid is easily available in cities and towns in India and its used as a weapon against women. We must run a campaign against it and ensure that it’s not available in the neighbourhood everywhere. Also if its sold there needs to be documented need case, identity and declaration taken.

See attached and this happens EVERY DAY somewhere in India. more

selling of acid should be on record of the seller as to who purchased, for what purpose, his name, address and mobile number. more
If a person has decided to commit this inhuman act, it is too difficult to stop him. Acid is easily available in the market as it is widely used to small and big industrial units. The existing law should be amended to award quick death penalty or jail term for life without bail/parole on any ground by any institution. No Advocate should be allowed to take up cases of such criminals as they try their best to derail justice delivery by applying all un-ethical practices. more
Yes, Acids should not be available in the market for public purchase. It should be sold to chemists or Schools and Colleges for their internal use. more
Needs solution more
Not possible to stop acid sales. Car and inverter batteries use acid. Sewage-cleaners too use. Wrong idea to ban things that can be misused. Problem is our very slow justice system. more
