Action against Stray Dogs
Many people who feed stray dogs don’t understand that one day they wont be there to feed them and then the stray dog can possibly feed on their child or their neighbors or maids/guards child.
This is exactly what happened in hyderabad on sunday in a residential society and attached is the video where a 5 year old was mauled by stray dogs to death.
We need LocalCircles to escalate this in such a way that removal of stray animals becomes a KRA for all municipal commissioners. They should not be promoted to another job if they dont handle this menace and should face suspension from service. This is a public safety issue. more

A very stupid suggestion. Although the incedence is very unwanted, it can be prevented. Rather we should take initiative to get the dogs neutered, so that the number of dogs is decreased. A one off event does not prove imply that all dogs should be killed. There are also reports of dogs protecting newborn babies, cathcing thieves, but people like you overlook such news and only take the negative news. There are so many kidnappers, murderers and recently so many people being murdered and cut to peices. So all of humanity should be in jail? What do we ultimately want? A civilization where there will be only humans, no animals, no birds, no trees? Great selfish thought. If you are so afraid, I think you should not venture on the roads. more

Dear Madam, Your worry is right. Ultimately, they have a wild instinct and from old times they are domisticated. Feeding to them by some one from us is due to our ability and result of their inability. One day I was worried about West where almost every house holder is a couple and dogs are very tall and powerful. Heart rending whenever one sees this. Prevention better than cure! Waste food leftovers strewn on streets attracts stray dogs. Sterilization after they deliver once, must be undertaken. Vaccinate all dogs. I recall in my colony, a foreigner lady took them when they were puppies and using her own resources, vaccinated them. We depend too much on government agencies for doing the needful. more

This is all because of illogical behaviour of the municipalities abdjucating their responsibilities under the Cover of SPCA guidelines, & the Commissioners / District Magistrates of these cities be stripped of all powers , as all other powers are given in Public interest in the name of Public safety. If a society can’t take care neither of its own timid future generations nor of the conflicting Animal world needs No extra powers to be given only for exploitation.. more
