Add air ventilation also as criteria for schools

A friend who is tracking indoor air quality has Done an analysis of CO2 levels of school classrooms in USA. These levels rise while kids are in class, drops while they're out at recess, gets uncomfortably high in the afternoon. See attached.

She suggests to Open doors and windows during recess and lunch to flush the exhaled breath. This will probably bring CO2 back down under 600 ppm. Masks are required, and there needs to be portable HEPA air cleaner in each room.

Indians parents teachers and school management may take note wherever possible and affordable it should be done.

LC should ask a question on this as well for assessment more

Every day a new requirement is enlisted. As rightly pointed out by Mr. Gopalbandhu Mahapatra, our class rooms in general are well ventilated and do not need any mechanical assistance to create artificial ventilation. more

Most of the international schools are air conditioned. Private schools and public schools are with widows and well ventilated. more
I do not know where the survey is taken. My daughters and their children in Schools and Universities, as well as, their homes have surgical quality air filters embedded into the walls of every single room. I regularly visit USA and have yet to see a home/School which does not have high-quality filters. They cost around $30 each and must be replaced every few months. They are easy to install because of double walled houses/schools. May be smaller towns and low-end schools/houses have the problem in USA. In India, of course, allow cross ventilation and if using air conditioners then Philips or some other brand which have hepa, charcoal and regular filters to purify air must be used. more
The use of ACs in class rooms/offices, buses/cars be banned. The doors/windows must be kept open as the weather is mild these days. These steps will provide the required ventilation to all. Students of higher classes be asked to come to schools/colleges on bicylces. more
