Agitation for Reservation

This agitator from Guajarat is giving statements in Delhi today saying 85% of people in India are poor so they should all get reservation.

Totally disagree with such asks. Feel the whole thing is politically motivated. There is a lot of people in this country who work really hard to get to the 15% of India doing well. By giving reservation to 85% of the people is just bad ask and very bad give.

Modi Govt needs to handle this firmly and not give in one bit.

At the rate castes are being accepted as "Scheduled", soon every body will be scheduled and every one will get a government job. I agree that schedule castes are treated badly and not given opportunities. But so are millions of people who are not scheduled caste. A lot of this stems from lack of education. Basic literacy is mandatory for any job, except carrying bricks on ones head and digging ditches. Concentration on literacy and numeracy will create a more level platform. Surprise inspections of government village schools would go along way to see that SC children are also being educated. There should also be more schools in tribal areas. Education will also help the new generation to understand that we are all human beings, and should not be defined by caste, creed or gender more
