Air India can be a global Airline

Respected Prime Minister sir,

Today we all stare at a bleak future for our national carrier Air India and Indian airline companies in gerneral. Some of these are systemic to outdated laws. One such law well known is the 5.20 rule. The airline must have minimum 5 years and 20 aircraft to fly overseas. In all international travels around the world , I have observed that Indian Airline companies offer far more value for services , comfort than their European or American counterparts. To make their lives easier, civil aviation ministry must consider the following steps
1. Allowing easier aquisition of aircraft on outright purchase basis.
2. Relaxation of 5 year rule to 2 year rule if airline adopts hub airport.
3. Parking and landing charges at some metros be reduced if airport is used as a hub airport.
As far as Air India is concerned , it is observed that Air India takes a long time to tunrn around at airports oversears. For example AI flight 121 from Delhi reaches Frankfurt at 6 pm in the evening and departs at 9 pm from Frankfurt local time. This is 3 hours time for a relatively medium size aircraft like B787 dreamliner. The same is not true about Emarites where an entire A380 aircraft is turned around in a matter of 90 minutes. If this is avoided, then Air india can save a lot of money by reducing ground time and increase aircraft utilisation in order to turn around its fortunes.

Regards

How many of us are aware of the recent war between US carriers and Gulf carriers based on the bilaterals issues and subsidies etc, which all are pointing towards a tremendous backlog of Highest mode of corruption inaccessible to Coomon man and even self proclaimed brain tanks of our nation... Look at Emirates Ethihad and Qatar from Gulf and Delta American and United from US ..their nations deem it as a very precious industry with multiple productivity and potentials...unlike in INDIA...so sad I am...rgds RBS more
