LocalCircles Impact: Medicine Trade Margin to be capped at 30%
Many members know that LocalCircles has been working with Government over the last 3 years to regulate pricing of medicines better so they become affordable and the profiteering in the pharma supply chain is reduced. We have had solid success with NPPA capping prices of medical devices and some life saving drugs and today we are pleased to share another mega good news. Niti Aayog has moved a proposal to cap the trade margin on medicines to 30%We appreciate each and every circle member's patience in waiting on issues to be resolved. 90% of Medicne Sold under Pradan Mantri Jan Ausadhi is effective and cheaper by 50 to 70%. One can imagine the quantum of Profit generated by these Pharma companies. more

That is the Look out of GOI to see the variation in different Pharma. And must bring out uniformity. more

Margin in Pharmasuetical Medicines are very High. It should be reduced. This will give benefit to the consumers. As Medicine forms one of the Chunk of expenses, specially among Senior Citizens. more

Some of the reputed epharma are now in the hands of Tata and Reliance. Personally, I NEVER found any fake/duplicate medicine or device when buying from their site. In the market, most people know reliable sellers (like Shakun in Lucknow) where 100% medicines are genuine. They always provide a receipt, never provide a discount and charge proper GST. more
