Amul protein products a health hazard

Amul has launched a new range of protein products. See attached their protein lassi.

My cousin found some black substance coming out of it. On cutting the tetrapack in half, we found small mold/fungi lumps.

In a developed country this would've resulted in a mass recall.

Also found that a blueberry smoothie product of theirs claims 3 gms sugar but its super sweet. They dont disclose that the blueberry are drenched in sugar syrup. Serious misleading going on. FSSAI should fix this. more

Any perishable product can have quality issues if its not stored correctly or the expiry date is over. All food products have limited shelf life and people often do not look at these dates at the time of buying. If some products need compulsory refrigeration, are these being refrigerated or not? Big brands are concerned about their reputation and goodwill and have stringent quality control and testing in place. In India there is also the issue of spurious manufacture or refilling of used tetrapacks by unscrupulous agencies. This is very rampant across the country and Amul products have faced many such issues eg. fake butter, fake paneer, fake milk etc. I wouldnt be surprised if this is not the case here. One of the persons closely involved with these new Amul products had recently shared a lot of information that I had teh chance to look at. Frankly, I think that Amul's processes and systems are very robust in terms of hygiene and quality control. This particular instance needs a thorough investigation to identify the root cause and eliminate it. more
I am surprised that reputed and established company like Amul is indulging in such malpractices with clearance from enforcement agencies. Amul is also marketing many other product including milk, which is quite popular and may be of substandard quality as Ghee is derived from it. Either Amul gives out it version on the issue or FSSAI should take appropriate action. more
Actually it is not only with Amul, but most of the companies do also not care for health /hygiene in our country, because rules in our country are not as stringent as required. and even in case they are caught with such practices they hire senior advocates to defend them and they get exonerated even for such heinous crimes. more
I think this must be escalated to union Government and Modiji govt will take action rapidly. N more
Even Amul Cow Ghee is adulterated , i put in a complaint with amul and only after repeated reminders they replaced the ghee with another package of adulterated ghee , on another complaint they replaced the package with their other amul ghee tin package but would not return the money when i asked i dont want amul anymore . The better options like Hatsun Cow ghee have been forced to not sell in northern India as their quality is the best and these adulterated brands would lose all their market in North and western India if allowed entry more
