Arbitrary flight cancellations by airlines
Airlines are charging exorbitant airfares and both Indigo and Vistara/Air India, when they don’t have enough load on a flight, they cancel last minute with impunity & without giving any reasons and combine with an earlier or later flight and call it ‘rescheduling’
Many people like me pay premium to travel at a certain day/time and hence are being cheated if our flight from 9 am is delayed to 3 pm. There are business meetings, hotel bookings, all impacted.
If airlines reschedule due to their internal reasons, there must be a fine which should atleast be equivalent to half of the airfare paid and in some cases full value of the ticket.
These folks cant have the cake and eat it too. more

Yes, there must be provisions for adequate compensation payable to the concerned passengers under such circumstances. more

It is a harrassment to the passengers many a times we have to catch the connecting flight to catch because of reschedule if we miss the connecting flight then airline should give us a fresh ticket without any extra cost. Govt should have control on the air fare. unnecessary airlines should not hike the airfare more
