Are these discussions fruitful ?
Yesterday a group of Kerala MPs met the Hon. Railway Minister . And the outcome of the meeting was continuation of all the loss-making stops in Kerala till December. If Railways dont have the resolve to take hard measures to turn around the Railways, what is point in all these discussions. Populism still rules . All these stops were introduced just for political mileage before elections. Express trains are crawling with unwanted stops . I feel it is back to square in railways. Only talks and no actions. more

Availability of tickets should be made comfortable. No of Seats/trains should be increased and decreased as per demand in season. Still action in this area is inadequate. Getting reservation in Rajdhani and Shatabdi is a big issue now. Worth while to mention that Food quality have not yet improved instead of increasing catering charges in Rajdhani and Shatabdi express. more
