Are vaccine numbers being gamed

Friends father passed away on July 17, 2021. It is there in official records. But, the Govt has SUCCESSFULLY vaccinated him for second (Dec 3, 2021) and precautionary (July 8, 2022) COVID19 doses after his death.

Officials at district Magistrate level are doing whatever it takes to make the vaccine numbers.

The central govt should leave the vaccination program as optional in paper and also in spirit so DMs dont have pressure to reach 100%

In the days of broadband (omicron) the covid vaccine is more like dial up connection (alpha variant of 2020) we wont achieve much by deploying such tactics to make the numbers more

Denying by the Indian government all those scientific research sourced from foreign researchers such as Lancet that shows up the actual numbers, see attachment, is our government's way of dealing with high covid caused fatalities. This also must be taken along with India imposing the world's strictest lockdown. Firstly, did we need measures so drastic, when, except those having sufficient buffer, or the online working option, mostly Indians must work for sustaining themselves. Of course, vaccinations, coupled with technology intesive administration thereof, using the app to record, track and trace the vaccinated, came to our rescue, but that happened after the above deaths. Government created digital infrastructure helped, undoubtedly. However as the above author's note shows, success remains mixed. https://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/india/lancet-report-says-indias-excess-deaths-due-to-covid-highest-in-world-govt-terms-it-misinformed/articleshow/90149534.cms more
Statistics crazy attitude of the authorities ... False propaganda... This is why globally nobody has faith in India's numbers ... Bad reputation more
Very funny, whatever who cares what you speak. Probably to rectify the record you need to approach courts. more
The attitude of the politicians and government officials to just show statistics has brought such a situation in the country. more
This govt is propaganda oriented. There is no area where they have done anything to the common man. It is high time people realize empty vessels make more noise. more
