Astrazeneca Vaccine Suspension in 11 countries

The AstraZeneca vaccine has been suspended in 11 countries as of last evening including in major countries like Germany, France and Italy due to blood clotting issues.

Can the experts in LocalCircles and Govt officials please be asked to
Clarify the situation from a Covishield standpoint.

How serious is the risk? If we are saying its nothing to worry, give me data please. Experts in 11 countries cant be clueless. They are major pharma countries like Germany too. more

I and my wife had taken Covishield (Oxford/Astrazeneca - Serum Instt. of India) ) on 10 March 2021. None of us had experienced any side/after effect. more
There have been more than 50 deaths in India post Covishield vaccination since 16 January 2021. I am yet to see the results of findings in the causes of these deaths (also to be peer reviewed) in the public domain. In the absence of data unable to comment. But, as an educated person, and as a scientist and an engineer, I feel the Serum Institute of India along with the concurrence of the government, must publish the data in public domain, and permit me to take an informed decision. I do feel, as a mature scientific nation, we also need the suspension of vaccination temporarily, and resume it only after the findings confirm that there is no adverse side effect, no contra-indications (or spell them out), no specific precautions to people routinely taking specific class of drugs for their remedies, etc. Insufficient to relentlessly say that the vaccine is safe without any published and peer reviewed data. Through this post, I wish to cajole both the government and the Serum Institute to ameliorate the adverse feelings of their own knowledgeable citizen. more
