BAD CONDITIONS OF CATERING ON LONG DISTANCE TRAIN
The catering contractors have no system of cleanliness. I was traveling from Thivim (Goa) to Vasai Road (Maharashtra) by 22907 MAO HAPA SUP EXP. on 27th Jan 2017, coach no S2. The contractor had loaded all the food in the same coach and was packing the same from open large containers in to smaller casseroles for serving the same to the passenger in the compartment. This was being done right in front of the toilets and wash basins where all the passengers were going frequently as the travel time for this distance is almost 10 hours. (Pictures attached)
How does IRCTC propose to implement the SWATCH BHARAT ABHIYAN, when their contractors are not being monitored for clean healthy food for the passengers.
This is one more issue, along with the over charging by them, against the prescribed price list by almost 85 to 100%.
Does the railways intend to change all this or only increase the cost of travel for the passengers on the pretext of rising cost of operations, lining the pockets of all and sundry in the railway ministry and irctc nexus. more

This has referenceto Subhash Parakh's response to Bipin Desai. In such eventualities, the Authorities will be supplied A class food & they will immediately certify it. But they should be served the food that is served to you and me in the trains and see their response. more

I have stopped eating from canteen, I prefer to take home Food, with Snacks, It may not be fresh to eat, but Hygienic. more
