Ban artificially ripened fruits from selling in organised retail

LocalCircles did some really fantastic work a few years back in driving awareness about artificial ripening of mangoes and other fruits.

https://www.localcircles.com/a/press/page/food-adulteration-survey#.Y_BhHvdX4WM

Now that the mango season is just 30-45 days away can something be done so atleast ecommerce and organised retail stores like reliance dmart (all GST registered stores) DO NOT sell artificially ripened produce.

One way could be making gst registered grocery/produce retail stores are required on mandatory basis to take fssai license. As part of license they are required to only stock natually ripened produce.

Other ideas are in all mango hubs where it is dispatched from in trains/trucks there is major on ground checking and surveillance to ensure ethylene sachets and carbide pouches are not being inserted. Similar thing could be done at arrival stations like New Delhi Bangalore Kolkata Chennai etc more

Yes really the state food departments and FSSAI are mere eyewash only. They get money and close their eyes and hearts - only when their family members get affected they may feel for these food adulterations. "Humans killing Humans for Money" is the strategy prevailing only in INDIA!!! 😒😘(●'◡'●)😢🤔 more
Yes all fruits and vegetables ripen and kept in godowns and stores should be seized immediately and such persons / owners of the shops and godowns should be arrested and put in jail for atleast 10 years without any bail. more
I am told by experts that safer artificial ripening is possible and is being used, though it is 30-40% more expensive. more
It should be made mandatory more
