Ban Video Streaming Svcs and Online porn

Seems like video streaming and online porn etc produces lots of emissions and that streaming online porn produces 100 million tonnes of carbon dioxide a year. The Shift Project analyzed data traffic reports from network companies, how much electricity was used to drive it, and how much greenhouse gas this caused. It found that altogether online video is responsible for nearly 1 percent of global emissions, with streaming services like Netflix and Amazon Prime Video making up 34 percent of this.

India must serious consider banning online porn and these streaming videos.

Online videos generated 60 percent of the world’s data flows in 2018, which doesn’t include Skype videos or ‘camgirls’ live videos, and creates 300 million tons of CO2 emissions a year.

The report authors warn emissions will grow as viewing of online content increases, and they're urging consumers to think about how much video they're watching. more

Got the same text on WhatsApp. My response was: "If porn was responsible for pollution in this country, then the problem must be solved because the government has banned/closed all porn websites in the country. Come on people, how gullible can we educated people be for such spurious, misleading emails.....? Don't we have a thinking mind of our own.....?? more
I agree. Prons in any form should be completely banned as it is corrupting young minds especially young age school children. more
I haven't heard of the CO2 figure. But what other reason do you need than the following to ban PORN !: 1. Increase in porn use is the single reason for the abnormal rise in no. of rapes and related murders. 2. Porn damages tender minds permenantly and causes impotency later on. 3. Porn affects psychology and personality of adults making it impossible to have normal relationship with opposite gender. None of these are mentioned in today's dialogue on the subject, meaning even decision makers and chatterboxes are affected .! C K P Nair. 18_7_'19 more
The issue needs serious attention of the government. more
