Be careful with Alexa and Google Home

A friend in USA downloaded all the data Amazon Alexa has on her and they sent her the *actual audio files* of every time she spoke to Amazon Alexa.

She says it has all the spreadsheets on *how* she reads (page turns, highlights, reading sessions), her Food purchases at the Whole Foods store, her contacts lists, her video watching, her Amazon purchases, every time She has entered a physical store, etc etc

I would imagine Google Home is no different. So strong recommendation do not use home assistants.

If this stuff gets in wrong hands it can really lead to crimes in the future that we have no clue about today. more

Why bother if one's doing nothing fishy? more
I can't help laughing. Even your used cell phone has all the data that can be retrieved by a primary school student. On the other hand, what are those data which can incriminate you to carpet bomb the world? If you do not have the money to buy Alexa or Google Home products, don't. I think the world is going crazy. "FEAR IS THE KEY". Thank you Alistair Maclean. more
An eye opener. We have to be careful when ever we are using such devices more
This is known for the last few years and for these reasons, we dropped our plans to buy Alexa or Google Home Products. more
Thanks for the information more
