Business Bribery - 2 in 3 businesses paid bribes in last 1 year

Great to see a revealing survey by LocalCircles carried on front page of Dainik Jagaran (attached)

https://www.localcircles.com/a/press/page/corruption-in-business

LocalCircles should have business owners rate all states for ease of doing business then the real competition will begin.

And I agree till 100% aspect of a registration permit approval payment is not online business will keep paying bribes. many use consultant CA lawyer also and hence 66% number may go up to 75-80% easily more

If any matter is reported, then it takes months/years to prove the culprit. Even after Culprit is proved Punishment is very very light. This system has to be made fast enough and punishment has to be exemplary. Then only you can think of some improvement. Otherwise forget it and presume that this is the way of life to survive in India. more
When greed and corruption are unchallenged, they grow like a cancer. more
Waste of time discussing this more
Most of the service deptt are under State govt hence the corruption is very high. Political parties appoint Halka chiefs ( area commander) who handles all collections, posting of officers in the distt. and transfers of all employees. This work culture will never end unless e governance is implemented and a system is put in place without Political interference. more
Corruption is endemic in India. For our people have got used to it to such an extent invariably ,corrupt people are also elected to power more
