Changes in 2 years negligible

Recently we took a train journey. I must say this time around, we were DISAPPOINTED:

1) Paid flexi fare, almost 50% more than normal fare
2) Nizamuddin station was as dirty as it gets, worse than 2 years ago
3) small children defecating on the platform, garbage and litter every where
4) train was ok, bio toilets sucked totally, stinking and stuffed in first ac
5) attendant was not to be seen
6) People, mostly non travelers at nizamuddin stations were using free wifi, while the real need of
wi-fi was in trains
7) coolies took double the money of prescribed rate
8)RPF was no where.

Swachh Bharat and Swachh Rail had ZERO impact, its just a photo op for railways.

Minister needs to himself experience whats happening by travelling himself without telling and doing same for his top 20 officials.

Till they experience it properly they will not be able to change much.

Only 2 positives were, station was beautifully lit and RPF was attending luggage scanner. more

Situation is better in South & West Bound Trains more
I THINK 'SWATCH BHARAT' IS NOT IMPLEMENTED TOTALLY.AS IT IS NOT HABITUATED IN MINDS OF INDIANS WE MUST PRACTICE more
Now a days my train travels are limited. Surprisingly, whenever I travel by Rajdhani there is a feedback VRS call with option to rate cleanliness of station and train, quality of on board service almost an hour before I board. That sounds so silly, can't IR really utilize such good practice? more
On 19th Oct, I got reservation in Sleeper class in Bhuj-Bareilly Express from Ghaziabad to Bareilly. At about two PM I checked that the train was running late by three hours. I was regularly tracking the train and on finding that the train had passed Palam, I left home for railway station to be in time for the train. I reached Ghaziabad station at 6:15 PM as according to the running train information upto 5:30, the train had to reach there at 6:35. There was no information about my train and it arrived at 8:20 PM. Contrary to expectations, the train was empty and my compartment had only 16 passengers. The coach was in delapidated condition. Toilets had no lights and were badly stinking. After Moradabad, there were only 7 passengers in the coach. The train reached Bareilly at 2:00 AM, ie late by five hours and twenty minutes. The train is regularly running late by 4-10 hours for many days. Ghaziabad station is particular in a no. of ways: It has no toilet on any platform. If I have to go to inquiry, I have to move at least half kilometer and go through the bridge. In the evening and morning rush, there is no space on the platform even to stand. A handicapped person can not reach the platform by any means. They do not announce the information about train arrival. If they do, it is a mock: A passenger train was scheduled to arrive from Moradabad. It was running late. At 8:05 PM, they started announcing that the train is running late and is expected to arrive at 7:40 PM. more
CONGRATS Shikha, You too have faced the same thing what I have faced in the past 3 years. Moreover, my foreign visitors too were shocked to see what is going on here at this station especially. No one is bothered about it at all. more
