Cheating at petrol filling stations in Ahmedabad

I am noticing cheating in petrol filling stations of HP company pump and IOCL dealer pump in Bodakdev Ahmedabad near judges bungalow road.

More the price of petrol, more cases of cheating. It is annoying for individuals, who travel a lot in their vehicles and incurring losses and unknowingly blaming the vehicle brand and its maintenance entity.

Will any action be initiated on these filling stations?
OR
We have to live with it.
I would request the respective principal companies and the city administration to have a surprise check on these stations and close them if found guilty.

It seems, these people are tampering or manipulating the fuel meters. Although we ensure zero reading before filling, they manage to cheat us.

I am not the only person complaining about it, as many of my peers have agreed to this. more

When the meters are electronic how can there be any cheating? What about government sanctioned subsidies given on diesel that benefit the rich, while causing so much pollution! Subsidies cost every taxpayer, even the one using public transportation. Complain if one must, about making petrol price at par with diesel. more
Absolutely a lethargic administration. Criminals are thriving due to this. Best way is to seal the erring petrol pumps. more
One more case of petrol pump cheating, which I forgot to mention earlier, by shell petrol pump Prahladnagar-Anandnagar Road. Paid Rs 200 and got mileage of 48 instead of regular 58-60 when the rate was 99 approx Wrote to the company, they asked me my contact details, I gave my email, and received an email. But emails will not help as loss incurred by me is not going to get compensated by the owner. I asked them to do a surprise check and close and tell me an ethical Petrol pump wherein I can do business. they didn't reply. Such cases have gone up and nobody cares to correct the situation. Companies do not even care to do a surprise check to nab the culprits. more
In order to red hand a petrol bunk filling boy, carry a container of exact two or five letter. Ask the bunker to fill in the container or pale. One can find the quantity variation on the lower side. This is the easiest way to catch a culprit red handed. Such bungs can be sealed by inviting weight and measure officials. Can any motorist venture to take this stern action. more
Unless there is severe punishment for the wrongdoings, economic (hefty fines )and physical (jail and loss of license ), situation is unlikely to improve an iota. And both the local government and central government, are looking the other way. more
The only punishment that will work in this stupid corrupt country is to put TWO bullets in their head and ALSO in the heads of each and every family member as they too knowingly enjoy fruits of crime. more
