Concern on international flights restarting

This LocalCircles survey has been doing rounds in my whatsapp groups

https://www.localcircles.com/a/press/page/international-flights-india-covid-survey

As much I am planning to travel to Singapore this summer, this survey makes sense. I want to congratulate all circle members for generally standing for what’s right. I wish I could say same about print and television media.

I think Govt hasnt thought through this. Indians dont have superhuman immunity nor is vaccination stopping infection and death (just look at south korea)

We just had a ba2 wave but please note kind of mutations (reinfection will happen) (see below) is scary and then there is deltacron.

Under such circumstances it is very unsafe to have flights from high covid countries.

- BA.2.* designations

BA.2.2 Alias of B..1.1.529.2.2, Hong Kong lineage

BA.2.4Alias of B.1.1.529.2.4, Singapore lineage

BA.2.5Alias of B.1.1.529.2.5, lineage in Portugal and other countries

BA.2.6Alias of B.1.1.529.2.6, lineage in France and other countries

BA.2.7Alias of B.1.1.529.2.7, USA lineage

To say we will be fine and hence open all is foolishiness or by design risk taking. more

I think it is time we learn to live with covid 19, 20 and 21. Take all precautions, maintain good health and immunity as the virus is here to stay for a long time! more
Govt started international flights without thinking of "basic need of BOOSTER DOSE to below 60 years" who have got VISA of EU, GERMANY. Since EU has mandated BOOSTER DOSE IS A MUST, govt of India must immediately start giving permission for administering BOOSTER DOSE to below 60 years citizens. more
Strongly disagree with Sri Harpal singh. The people's sufferings during peak COVID Period is an eye opener.Availability of experts And datas never mitigated the sufferings of people.Experts and datas are tuned to safely sail through the politisians intentions and not 100% focused towards the realistic public Sufferings.we should not forget still our infrastructures are not tuned to cope up if a sudden surge takes place due to opening of all doors.Covid not only shattered the economy, but shattered the lively hood of Middle class people.Further the uncontrollable Price increase of medicines(almost by 30%) And essential commodities like oil, pulses etc Pushed the people beyond recoverable stage. In this situation the Govt decision to be Reviewed . more
Mr Viswanathan Gopalakrishnan just because people had covid does not mean you will shut down and isolate India forever. That is an unrealistic and damaging idea. I have said this again and again on this list serve that the real reports shows, many of the countries and states that have not had lock down and isolation have not at all suffered like that. On the other hand New York City, California that shutdown and killed many businesses and people's lively hood did not help save people. Please stop pushing these kind of isolation ideas. As far as Whatapp groups, they are not scientific so that should not be pushed. more
Do you mean India should cut off from the world for ever? Not only that, the travel within the country should also be stopped. Will you confine yourself to indoors if you had caught cold due to exposure to the cold wind outside your home? Your comments are totally unrealistic. more
I have seen the post as well comments given so far. Please realize that the government is more resourceful to know what is to be done and have experts in different fields who are consulted before taking a decision. And these flights go to and land in different countries and any move has to be in consultation with them. Everything cannot be done virtually. more
Sri. Rajesh Suri, watch your language. Surely you have the Freedom of Expression, and your opinions matter, but be decent about expressing them. more
Mr. Rajesh Suri, I pity your lack of knowledge and use of foul language. If you do not know something, it is better to keep quiet rather than exposing yourself more
Rajesh Suri no one should take you seriously for talking in this manner. more
Now people are more alert in the world and hence there should not be any problem to start international travel. Still Human beings has tendency to forget, and for the reaso airlines, local transport agencies and authentic medical agency should make people alert on health safety time to time. more
