Corruption and Productivity Improvement in Railways

While I fully support our Prime Minister's fare increase for railway tickets given the losses it is incurring, I believe more has to be done.

Through this, I would like everyone to give inputs on:

1) How all Corruption and Mis Governance is happening in railways and how can it be addressed

2) How productivity and revenue/income can be improved.

Here is the idea:
Let us put together a white paper on this important subject also and by means of this also request RP Gupta ji and BJP Cell to take it to PM and Railway Minister.

I am sure the country will be holding PM and Govt accountable for this fare increase so I think it is in interest of India that operational changes with significant re-engineering are made to fix railways. Hope this whitepaper can provide Govt just that.

Your inputs welcome. more

For increasing the income of railways,I have the suggestions as mentioned below- 1)Allow ads on Railway coaches, this would bring in a lot of money 2)Add one freight cart to all the passenger trains --Freight brings revenue and the movement of goods would also be faster more
Dear Sir, I am P A cariappa, instead of increasing fares in " Railways", try to make some " Innovative ideas" , so that people should please them self , to give higher rates , instead of asking. Regards. P A cariappa. more
