COWIN no longer mandatory

Friends all of you can pat yourself on the back. The Government after realising that COWIN wasnt helpinge everyone and only 27% people were anle to get an appointment for vaccine via it has decided that its no longer mandatory and everyone must entertain walk ins.

We should share every thing that we find as a problem with vaccine or side effects and collective escalation is the best strategy in this country.

Yes, you are right Sro Mukherjee. I have been a member of LC since 2014 and I find that this gives us the chance to not only bring to the attention of others, problems on various fronts but more importantly, the Government taking action on many of the issues raised and also responding in a positive way to the suggestions given by the LC. I feel I am part of the democratic process. Let more and more people take part in this exercise and let us have a truly participative democracy. more
Even in the month of March,2021 we went to the vaccination center without pre- appointment/registration and the center itself did complete the required formalities and the vaccine was administered with ease. more
Crowed at Vaccine Centres must be arrested under pre booking/ Token System more
Many applications which the government had put out are not efficient. The latest is the IT portal. Nothing works!! It makes me wonder how Infosys one of the great IT companies in India has made it so far when it cannot even make the IT portal work. Who has done COWIN? more
Our last year's property tax is yet unpaid, because the portal never functioned, despite more than a dozen attempts. more
A very good move to make COWIN non-mandatory. Now, vaccination should see a big boost especially in rural India. more
thanks and good decision more
