Crime in India

It is unfortunate that in spite of laws crime is not coming under control. One big reason is the time taken in investigation and judicial process. One reason is shortage of staff in police department and in judicial system. Even at top level there is shortage of judges. It imperative that impasse between the SC judges and the government in the matter of recruitment of judges be resolved quickly and recruitment get expedited. Similarly the recruitment of Police personnel should also be expedited.
Our Police also needs better equipment. Better computer systems , better communication systems, and improvement in forensic departments can not be delayed any more.
Our sprawling metros need police helicopters.
Hukumt takat se nahin ekbal se chalti hai. jaruri hai ki ekbal phir se sthapit kiya jay. more

Mr. AL Moondra , if the police department is given the Helicopter , the poor police will not be able to use it for crime detection , traffic management . The ruling Babus will utilize it most , for their own and families' travels may be even during elections quoting possible terrorists attacks . It will be interesting to Make an Audit of the Functions vis a vis how the police force is utilized . * How many constables and officers stand guard at the V.I.P's Gates - They wait all day unable to utilize the skills imbibed during training . *the number standing on the roads for traffic and safety of the V.I.P.'s - The next most spending time . * Accompanying the V..P.'s in Airorts , Rail stations and meetings. * Even if a former .M.P. wants security while travelling by trains are provided . And at Stations Gun trotting Inspector, Sub Inspector and contastable numberingnot lessthan 6 receive accompany . Under these situations how can they Prevent,Detect Crime , Prevent Traffic violations and accidents. more
The Top most root cause is absence of commitment towards Constitutional Mandates to the Citizen while the 2nd is Loop-holes set in IPC and other Laws more
3, 4, and 5 are Insufficient Courts inadequate Judges ; Suitable Technology and quantum in Policing ; Political influence more
1) People do not disclose full details or hide information which prolongs the investigation 2) Police should be freely allowed to use 3rd degree methods to get information 3) Police are able to find the culprits or criminals, judiciary allows to go scot free 4) Judges are insensitive to the society. They go by rule book. Salman Khan given a bail on Rs. 50,000 which the actors buys a scent bottle or bottle of wine for a morning breakfast. 5) The number of laws to be cut down, instead let the people in that area where crime is committed take the decision of punishment directly. Let the society dictate the punishment & not the judiciary. more
If railways, airports, hospitals, police stations etc can work round the clock on a 24/7/365 basic with 3-shift operation, since last 70 years across India, why is that the Judicial system of India capable of working only one shift/ day from 11 AM - 5 PM only ??? With backlogs of over 25 million cases pending in all courts across our country and present population of over 125 CRORES citizens in India, we need to radically change the structure and operations of judicial system of India. The behavior of senior judges of Supreme Court of India, a couple of months back, is a clear indication of the eminent collapse of our old British Raj system. Stop summer holidays and winter holidays for judges. They must work more efficiently than school students. Recruit 3X judges in all courts and develop a 3-shift judicial system in India. more
It's also the attitude and orientation of babus and police officials that play a vital role in maintaining law and order. Most of them are not only imcompetent but also very arrogant towards general public. This weaken and delink effective relationship between public and it's government. Fate of any bureaucrat and police officer lies into the hands of political akas hence as natural, most of the officials prefer them over their actual duties towards public. All this can only be handled by total and immediate reform of our bureaucracy and police agencies. more
