Dean of RML goes to Max for COVID 19 treatment

Government hospitals in India are in pathetic state and that is confirmed by the dean of Ram Manohar Lohia hospital, a premier hospital under Delhi Government.

The dean instead of getting his Covid-19 treatment there decided to instead take admission at Max Saket, private hospital of Delhi.

This tells you all about the broken Government healthcare. If their own doctors dont trust the treatment you can only imagine the plight of commoners.

We should discuss here what can be done to improve state of Govt hospitals? more

Remove dalal raj (middlemen), political pressure, chori & misappropriation of funds from Govt Hospitals. more
To kill a dog call it mad. 1. All concessions and discounts to be honored by AIRINDIA and INDIAN AIR LINES. All loss making routs were to be run by them But all the profit making routs were to be shared or allotted to private air lines. End result is AIRINDIA and INDIAN AIRLINES are lose making and need to be sold. 2. BSNL is providing everything to private operators but it can not use for its business betterment. All private operators provide 4G/5G supplied by BSNL to their customers but BSNL can not do the same to its customers. yet BSNL is expected to compete with private operators. Since it is loss making it has to be handed over to private parties private hospitals are for the patients who can pay. Govt hospitals for those who can not pay . When all the politicians ,rich people and employees go to private hospitals and only poor go to Govt hospitals how can we expect them to perform at par with private. If the public money paid to private hospitals for various powerful people is spent at Govt hospital they can always compete with private. When we like outside food, home food will not be tasty. In India it has been observed that most of the Govt Hospitals's Service Level Standard is much below the expectation. That is why those who can afford will go to Private Hospitals. more
The Dean also has found his hospital to be beyond redemption - even for 1 bed ! It establishes that, he was sure for sub-standard facilities/ expertise of his own hospital. more
Seema ji, very nice topic you brought in. Perhaps you know we live in London but do visit our cherished Bharat off and on and do agree with your finding. Something drastic needed to upgrade GOVT. hospitals. private hospitals are prohibitive to the poor and some middle class people. best wishes, bnbhanot bnbhanot On Sun, 31 May 2020 at 13:16, Seema Mehra wrote: > more
