Depriving mobile identity to valid mobile subscribers on the pretext of "No use"
Companies like Airtel are depriving the users of their phone numbers when they are visiting abroad for six months or more on the pretext of "No Use" despite the cash balance held by the users. While the number allotted to the subscribers is the identity registered with Bank account, linked with Aadhar card, and other civic facilities, the subscriber is left in lurch when his number gets blocked, the balance amount is usurped, and he is away from the country. People visiting abroad are forced to recharge their phones at exorbitant fee for a short period of 28 days or so. Most of the persons visiting abroad generally make use of the phone of their relatives during the trip and do not require Indian phone for personal use. It is requested that TRAI must intervene to stop the hegemony of service providers. A mobile number allotted to the user must be valid if the user has not surrendered the same as landline phone. more
In fully agree with you ,let them keep a reasonable time limit of NO USE like six months as a maximum ,then the users are protected from this exploitation. TRAI must suggestto them. more
1. The Sims that are not in use for 30 days shall be barred 2. The Sims that are notified for silence due to Foreign Trip shall be well secured 3. Service providers shall maintain the record of Sim and Cell owners and a Phone Directory like that of Indian Telephones is to be regulated. more

Excellent work LC Manager on escalating this call connection and drop issue. Most amazing thing is Govt let them increase tariff without any accountability.
