Please also advise what is to be done in case the Pantry Car service providers charge the passengers with a higher tariff as that would help the Railways in routing out corruption in this section. more
Please clarify as these lists seem to me old ones with dates as old as 2012, are these still applicable or these rates have changed? You need to give a current date for the rate cards or should have an effective expiry date, to ensure that the vendor does not cheat on the date issue. The Rajdhani menu is also dated 2014. more
Thanks for sharing but there are many irregularities and wrong practices going on in the Pantry Car services in many trains. Recently while traveling from Howrah to Bhubaneswar by Janashatabdi Express, I noticed that, when any one orders for a cup of Tea or Coffee (priced at Rs. 7/-), the Pantry car boy hands over a sachet containing two biscuits in lieu of Rs. 3/-, which he is supposed to return in exchange of a Rs. 10/- note. Till this it is OK but when examined the price of that buiscuit pack, it was found written - NOT FOR SALE. How can they use a complimentary item as sale? The Pantry Car Supervisor/Manager was not available in the Train for any comment. Please enquire and stop this practice. more
