USE OF SOLAR ENERGY TO CONVERT SEA WATER TO POTABLE WATER I do not understand why we are not able to utilizing solar energy to convert sea water into potable water in our country. Countries like Saudi Arabia are converting saline water in to portable water and meeting demand of their cities and also feeding visitors during haj period. They are using oil fired burners where as we can use concentrated solar rays to heat sea water. We can use solar heating instead of oil heaters. The process is very simple. Sea water passing through pipes is heated up to 120 degree centigrade and then flashed in chambers having vacuum. The generated vapors are cooled by incoming water running in steel tubes. The condensate water droplets collected over the cooling tubes drops in to the tray located below the cooling tubes and is transferred to storage tank. Subsequently, this water is polished and after adding required minerals sent for use as potable water. more

It is true that our P.M. Mr. Naredra Modi is working hard for uplift and development of this nation but during this process he should not neglect his health. We need him and his prudent thinking for long time to come and pray for his long life. His team should share his work load and implement his ideas sincerely. more
