Nearest Platform Dhap Dhapi Rail Station, Section Sealdah South Circle. There some major problem One of the problem The Latrine of Platform no.2 is very unhygienic. The urine always flows through the platform. There is no necessary of Latrine. Pl. Demolished it. Another major problem is The surrounding area of station there are running Gambling like Shatta (under cycle shop/ tea shop). The north side always play Tash (card) - juha, including Gaja,Heroine. Sometime your police is co-involved with them. Collect money and allow illegal works. Stop this irregular activity mainly from evening to midnight. Pl. asun sacha Bharat Gari. Amra Local people are always with you. more
11. There are many entry points on to a station - This is ok because in emergency it will help , instead we can have check point to each entry point to avoid un-authorised entry. more
Please arrange for a dedicated separate counter window for those who want to cancel their tickets as it will result in upgrading the next needy passengers. Those may not be important for rly but why keep them waiting spoiling their valuable time. We should learn to appretiate value of time of others. It reflect to the quality of service to our esteem citizen. It applies in all services more
I disagree with Ramanamurthyji and Kuppuswamyji as far as letting only passengers access the platforms is concerned. We are an Eastern society, where it is our culture to see-off and receive guests, unlike the western world, where nobody has any time or inclination, besides infrastructure there is much better. The same can be restricted to one visitor per traveller to de-congest platforms. Women travelling with children and/or luggage, senior citizens travelling with luggage, people visiting a place for the first time and/or persons on onward journeys or changing trains or in transit often need assistance in various forms. In Delhi e.g. the different main stations are away from each other. A person getting down at Nizamuddin and wanting to go to New Delhi Railway station has to come out and board an auto/taxi or a bus to be able to reach there. Metro connectivity is awaited in another 2-3 years perhaps. more
