Dont get carried away with MILD omicron thing

A lot of leaders including some chief ministers are publicly saying that Omicron is mild and we have enough beds. The carpet under their feet is about to get pulled. I share 2 data points

UK hospitals are seeing critical staff shortages amid rising caseload. See attached internal communication

Secondly, US hospitalisations going beyond peak of 2nd wave. As daily cases hit a million everything will go haywire.

So from an India standpoint we may have beds available when we have 30000 cases but when we have 500000 cases the same may not hold true. more

True, looking to the characteristics of the virus, increasing the number of infected manifold every day and with very limited medical infrastructure/resources our nation have, it's high time that we become extra ordinarily cautious and apply all needed precautions taking lessons from our experience of recent past. more
No alternative but to observe' covid' protocol. more
People always crib at each and every thing, They will not follow the basic guidelines set by the government like wearing masks, maintain social distancing, not going out unnecessarily, will not wash their hands regularly and get infected by the virus and then expect the government to provide them with free beds, free ambulance services, free medicines, free boarding and lodging in hospitals etc more
We have been taught a lesson during the second wave and if we still do not learn then we will have to pay a heavy price for it without any doubts. With the size of the population it is just a matter of time it will outpace our infrastructure which will crumble more
Compulsory Masking Distancing will help a lot. Neglect Poisons majority more
