Don't make Net Neutrality a joke
I think most of us understand now that TRAI seems to be batting for telecom providers for reasons best know to them.
What I don't understand is Telecom Min saying he is deeply committed to Net Neutrality and the DoT Committee has left it to the TRAI to decide whether Airtel's Zero rating plans violate the principles of net neutrality.
When 77% citizens in this circle's poll itself said WE WANT NET NEUTRALITY, why does the Govt not understand and leaving decision to TRAI which in the first place did so many goof ups. I am sorry but it appears vested interests are being given more weight than what citizens want.
I hope the PM intervenes and puts it on the right track. Giving Facebook and Reliance and Airtel the keys to the Indian internet is not acceptable. more

There cannot be net neutrality and it is against the spirit of basic business ethics. There should be a win win situation for both the customer as well the service provider. Do every one think all voice, messaging and a video calls can be made through internet leaving the service providers from whom billions of rupees have been collected by the central government to be doomed bankrupt. You cannot leave them bankrupt, a nation is not about prosperity of its citizens but businesses too .... without revenue from businesses there would be nothing left for the country to take care of its citizens ... more
