Draft Advertising Code: Inputs Sought

Many of you are aware that with your participation, LocalCircles has been single handedly fighting against Misleading Advertisements. Though the Ministry of Consumer Affairs issued draft advertising code, and took inputs via LocalCircles, the code is yet to be finalised.

While all of this is in process, misleading advertisements continue in media. We seek your experiences and inputs on misleading ads and what should be not permissible so the same if complementary can be escalated to the Ministry for inclusion.

We look forward to your inputs! more

Misleading ads is a problem like Carona Virus. Business houses will not leave any opportunity to improve their business like Carona whose only intention is spreading. Banning such ads and Vaccine for everyone is a similar problem. Best solution is HERD immunity and ignoring for such ads. We will learn living with them. All the best. more
It is now needed that our film stars may be banned in Advertisement , also a body be constituted to look after the misleading information spread through Electronic & Print media by State CM , Concern department Head/Secreatry may put the correct information by his sign on regular basis and should be made accountable for wrong information. more
School Children, College Students - are are well exposed to such advertisements on internet as well as on TV. Many of the programs and advertisements build the character of the young generation - we are just spoiling them, before they can recognize what is right and what is wrong, what is good and what is bad. It is not the responsibility of Governments to build society, they can only keep "Some" controls. In home of atomic families, in the absence of joint families - there is no one to build character of the children. Hence - change of education system is required to build good character citizens. Our current education system must be changed for this purpose. more
Some Advertisements are not following the ethical and logic sense for that the concerned who ever so may be absolutely liable to face consequences. Be cUyious while giving advertisements. more
