ERASING NEHRUS NAME FROM HISTORY

The Rajasthan Govt had reportedly erased
the name of Jawahar Lal Nehru from history book of certain class.Whether this is deliberate or by oversight, the HRD minister should look in to and advise the state govt.He was the first PM of India who ruled for longest period continuously.People may have grievance or difference of opinion over his role during and after independence. No doubt he was the blue eyed boy of Gandhiji and the country was partitioned on the issue of PM!There were 3 contestants for this post.Whatever may be the case, erasing from history of a prime personality who ruled the country as PM for such a long period cannot be appreciated by any right thinking person. If facts are omitted or twisted in the pages of history, that can be set right by providing proper evidences to historians.Since this is a bad precedent which any right thinking person would not appreciate, the Modi Govt should advise the state govt suitably at the earliest.Govts will come and go and if every new govt keeps on playing with historical facts, where will it end? There are larger issues like fighting corruption, black money, terror, development, employment, poverty etc issues like erasing historical facts, changing road name etc should not be touched upon.No doubt, this govt has fared better inspite of resistance from the entire opposition that too in a short span;lot are yet to be done which should not be sidelined by paltry issues. more

Sri Geethaprasad is Correct . But , the Ruling of Congress Party in Central and , even at States , particularly and specifically also forgot the Regional Ideals , Best performers and Society Stalwarts of those Fields ; and the Regions of the places of the spots . This is all due to the selfish and power interest of the Congress that afraid the ruling opportunity if the Gandhi and Nehru Family Names are not continued as long as Congress tries to Exist politically . There is no Regional interest also to honour their own Regional Leaders and Social Personalities/ Ideals . more
Monopoly of Nehru Gandhi family in naming of roads, airports, universities, drinking water projects, hospitals and what not?is really disgusting!Retain their names wherever it is found suitable or connected;the rest should be removed and named after better personalities who contributed or sacrificed to the nation or a region. The ruling party should stop the habit of naming any project, airport etc over its leaders present or past which is a cheap practice! The congress party has been doing this since beginning and the BJP should not follow them! How ever this is not the right time to touch this issue because the Govt should concentrate on other more important issues. more
Namingbof placed mentioned in my previous posts must be based on places, purpose etc for public convenience. Not for glorification of promonant party leaders. more
There are too many views on Nehru and his successors Gsndhis rule and monopoly in naming various places, projects, universities, schemes, awardbetc etc etc. Does it mean that none of the other politicians come anywhere near neat this gentleman. When the democracy was created replacing the Kings and emporers +with total blood) what really followed was another fighting dynasty, mostly nasty, selfish and criminals, of ministers both at centre and States. How many of them are in real public service ? Why .????? more
I would support a policy that a party in power cannot name any government or public place after its past or present leaders. That should solve the issue. more
