Failure of reservation using new website

Dear Sir,
I do not know whether this message will come to your notice or not. I have been trying for getting an answer to my difficulty in booking IRCTC ticket with new website. I have been one of the oldest user who is using IRCTC for online reservation but never had such horrible experience. I wrote several emails and phoned to IRCTC customer care but no satisfactory answer. I tried to book ticket recently in tatka for going to Rajkot from Mumbai using internet explorer which I am using since last 14 years. But to my surprise a new website was trying to open and after several minutes it could not opened so I switched to google chrom. The reservation was available but it logged out from account without booking ticket. My money blocked. The booking was full by this time. My wife had to travel by bus, Then next day she was to return so tried booking in tatkal again same way it blocked money no reservation done. I tried again two times in premium and normal tatkal. Though seats available no reservation. I telephoned customer care several times some body said try agent login with old browser some said try new browser like Mozilla . Neither was possible. I lost further money in phoning and transaction. Some suggested to book in sleeper class , I tried and again money blocked. Now you tell me how pathetic is for a person who is need of reservation urgently. MY money for four tickets blocked with additional loss. The money was refunded after some time but what about next travel????? Because there is no answer from customer care to improve booking with new website. What setting are preventing my booking ticket to ultimate level. Till now there is no answer of my several emails. If I get some specific reply that by doing what I would be able to book ticket with IE 11 or google chrom. It is idiotic to use any unsafe browser net banking.
Thanking you,
Govind Kalena.

I had the same experience. I had experienced the websites of a no. of organisations ( like Banks) to remain suspended for switching over to new versions. But such suspensions were with pre-intimated in well advance and not more than eight hours. A no. of organisations adopts a beta-version to run parallelly before totally abandon the old version. Even IRCTC also had moved to the present web-sites by such a discipline. Returning to the initial theme. It seems Mr. Govind Kalena is using the IRCTC app on Internet Explorer. Kindly reload the app IRCTC/nget/ on Google Chrome , but use your established UserId and Password. Don't expect any thing from IRCTC Customer Care (sic! CUSTOMER DON'T CARE). more
There needs to be improvement in the system. If lapses still continuing, then it is a matter of disgrace. more
Its our tragedy to make everything mess in the name of upgradation and making user friendly as things are done without adequate research and applying common sense. more

I had a similar problem. The new IRCTC Site is not user friendly or it has been badly designed. more
